Kilauea Christmas Concert

It's that time of year again, there's a little chill in the air and that means that it's time for the 9th Annual Kīlauea Christmas Concert! Please join us on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2 at 4pm for a night with some of Hawaiʻi's finest musicians, amazing hula, and fellowship. As always, the event is FREE and open to the public. We encourage everyone to bring a can of food per person to donate to the North Shore Food Pantry. Hanalei Taro & Juice Co will have a selected menu of their delicious food available for purchase.

This year we will again feature hometown favorites, the Kīlauea Social Club, the multi award-winning Del Beazley who will be joined by the incredibly talented Shawn Pimental. Plus our dear friend Hōkū Zuttermeister will be returning and this year we are delighted to introduce a new(ish) talent, Poʻokela Wood to you all. Kīlauea's own Kūpaoa and some of their Ke ʻAla Aumoe Dancers will round out the program. It will be a fun and festive evening!

Mahalo NUI to all of our corporate-level sponsors who made this all possible: Mokihana Pest Control, Grand Pacific Resorts (Makai Club), Waipā Foundation, Gather Federal Credit Union, Kauaʻi Federal Credit Union, Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative, Hoʻokele Strategies, Allstate Donovan Gardner Agency, Deborah Pate, Gary & Bebe Smith, The Paik ʻOhana, and Puahina. We are so grateful to all of them for supporting this community event!

FUTURE events

Out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have paused our progress on many of the social events that we had planned for this year. We have shifted our focus and been hard at work on other initiatives like executing a stewardship agreement with the County of Kauaʻi to steward Kīlauea Dispensary Park and organizing an effort to record the oral histories of some of Kīlauea's cherished kūpuna.

Once it is safe to gather again, we look forward to welcoming you at one of our events!  Here are the FREE events and services that we look forward to resuming or starting:

  • Family Game Nights: Open to all ages! Hosted at the Kīlauea Neighborhood Center. Our first game night was held on March 11, 2020 and it was a big success! When social gathering is allowed again, we will resume these fun family nights.

  • Kīlauea Kanikapila: Come play music! Experience not required, good attitude a must! Hosted in partnership with the Kīlauea Social Club. Bring your own instrument or your voice! Music books generously donated by Awaiaulu. CONTACT US for information about time and location.

  • Kīlauea Sugarcane Celebration: A summertime celebration highlighting local talent and businesses! Come learn more about Kīlauea's unique history and enjoy a day at Kīlauea Park.

  • Community Clean-up Days: Hosted in partnership with Kīlauea Pride. Help us beautify our communal places and parks!

  • Kīlauea Community Walk: Still in the early planning phases, join us as we stroll through Kīlauea town! Learn about some of the historic sites and unique stories that make Kīlauea so special.

  • And more!
